社会企业（Social Enterprise）是来自于英国兴起的企业型态，从事公益性事业，商业策略主要是用于改善人类和环境生存条件，而非为外在的利益关系人谋取最大利益，在中国则称之为”福利企业”。
本次介绍 Impact Hub 所孵化的社会企业，都在为各自的受众努力提供服务，也考虑到商业模式让公司得以持续运作，就让我们来看看有哪些案例吧。

Social Enterprise is a type of enterprise emerging from the United Kingdom. It is engaged in public welfare undertakings. The business strategy is mainly to improve the living conditions of human beings and the environment, rather than to maximize the benefits of external stakeholders. In China, Call it a "welfare enterprise."

1. THE CANVAS WORKSHOP

1. THE CANVAS WORKSHOP
The Canvas Shop is a social enterprise organised as a limited liability company, owned by Viitorplus as shareholder who carries on its economic activity in order to support the environmental and social mission of offering an ecological alternative to plastic bags and of providing jobs for people with disabilities. The profit generated by the social enterprise will be used to achieve the NGO mission – reforestation of areas from Romania with less than 5% forest.
What is the social impact of your business?
So far, we have produced more than 88.000 bags and considering that one canvas bag replace an average of 156 plastic bags we can conclude that more than 13.728.000 plastic bags have been replaced by ourr products. We have also helped 13 people to enter the job market, hired 23 people during their 6 years of activity and have a growing client portfolio.
What do you want to achieve by being part of Impact Hub Scaling?
We wish to develop a base of B2B customers focusing onorganizations and institutions in the EU.
2. Mesteshukar ButiQ

Mesteshukar ButiQ is a network of social economy enterprises and craftsmen aiming to revalue traditional Roma craftsmanship. MBQ provides premium lifestyle products with a story and design that stands out in any context, using a blend of centuries old techniques combined with contemporary design. We are planning to scale our sales processes abroad so that we can generate more revenue and increase our social impact.
What is the social impact of your business?
Our initiative is dealing with the problem of unemployed Roma craftsmen by creating and selling contemporary products made using traditional technique sand thus creating jobs and bringing revenue in Roma communities.
What do you want to achieve by being part of Impact Hub Scaling?
Scale our business (sales channels mainly) to Austria, Germany and Sweden.
3. KOISPE “ATHENA – ELPIS”

KoiSPE “Athena – Elpis” is a social enterprise that employs people with mental health and other psychosocial problems and develops various business activities such as offering a cleaning service crew, owning small cafes inside other institutions, providing catering services and running a restaurant. We aim, through scaling, to increased visibility, better efficiency, entering new markets and thus increasing our social impact.
What is the social impact of your business?
KoiSPE “Athena – Elpis” is creating job opportunities for over30 employees from vulnerable groups, supporting them financially, helping their social rehabilitation, fighting discrimination and social exclusion and improving the employees mental health status.
What do you want to achieve by being part of Impact Hub Scaling?
Koispe “Athena – Elpis” is looking for ways to expand its network, exchange know-how with other businesses, integrate new methods and promote its efficiency.
4. MATERIA
MATERIA设计和制造原创，高级家具和室内装饰产品，主要来自再生大块木材以及其他高价值材料：大理石，黄铜，不锈钢，有机玻璃和羊毛。他们还为当地建筑师，室内设计师，企业主（B2B）提供室内装饰项目（住宅和商业）的定制生产服务。

4. MATERIA
MATERIA designs and manufactures original, premium furniture and interior decoration products, mostly from reclaimed massive wood in combination with other high value materials: marble, brass, stainless steel, Plexiglas and wool. They also offer custom production services for interior decoration projects (residential and commercial) for local architects, interior decorators, business owners (B2B).
What is the social impact of your business?
As a social enterprise, MATERIA contributes towards addressing unemployment of vulnerable groups in an underdeveloped, ethically mixed, rural area in Romania by creating local jobs and offering professional training to individuals at risk due to low education levels, lack of previous employment and/or secondary degree, Rroma , long term unemployed and large families living on social support.
MATERIA has a positive environmental contribution by up-cycling massive wood reclaimed from demolitions into high-value products.
What do you want to achieve by being part of Impact Hub Scaling?
We wish to develop retail partnerships to sell products in other EU markets and access EU funds or attract investment to increase production capacity.
5. 2JEVENTS

We run a social enterprise that works with schools to rent their facilities out to the local communities in the evenings, weekends and school holidays. We aim to both help school budgets and provide the local community with space for their events – from dance groups to karate classes to business meetings.
What is the social impact of your business?
We have over 1000 people from the local community using our spaces every week, and make thousands of pounds for schools at no extra cost to them.
What do you want to achieve by being part of Impact Hub Scaling?
We started our business at 17, and that taught us the value of support when you need it. We recognise that now, at 21, with our business growing rapidly, we need it more than ever! In particular, we’re growing rapidly and need the structures in place to support this, as well as to give us more ideas and inspiration to maximise our impact.

What is the social impact of your business?
Each Authenticitys experience has a direct impact into at least one of these six different dimensions: health, education, environment and resources, employability, freedom and equality, and happiness.
What do you want to achieve by being part of Impact Hub Scaling?
The Impact Hub is our natural home as a social enterprise. Our goal is to find local hosts in each city that will find and connect at least 10 locally co-designed experiences and instil the values of a different way to travel in that city engaging the community of travelers as much as possible!

State of Ambition is a digital social enterprise that creates social mobility by supporting young people’s ambitions and soft-skills development.
What is the social impact of your business?
State of Ambition helps determined young people, who put together an online pitch based on their career ambitions, by putting them in touch with Role Models(employees in ambitious companies). Both the models and the young people benefit from this 21-day exchange by enhancing their confidence and expertise.
